About Us
Over 25 years ago on 27 October 1997, and before Sunday trading and gourmet deli's and grocers where popular in Brisbane, Norris and Marcia Lewis opened Rosalie Gourmet Market.
With a desire for high quality, fresh, artisan and gourmet produce and products Rosalie Gourmet Market was born! Rosalie, having a wonderful and delightful village vibe was chosen as the gourmet markets' home.
In early 2016, and looking for a change of pace, Marcia and Norris handed over the care of the Deli's amazing customers to a new proprietor - Rae Gough.
Rae is a great foodie and had not long moved back to Brisbane with her husband and young family. Having worked for many years in the financial sector in the city of London, Rae was excited for the opportunity to be at the helm of one of Brisbane's most iconic deli's.
It was in the amazing markets in London, and in particular the Borough Market, that Rae developed her love and understanding of fresh, unique, hard to find, delicious and gourmet ingredients and products making her a perfect choice to take over the custodianship of the Deli.
The Deli
Today, as in the past, our market is renowned for its range of artisan cheeses, fresh breads & patisserie items, fresh flowers which are locally and internationally grown, decadent chocolates, fresh fruit & vegetables and take home meals. Catering is now also a great service that we offer our customers, both for corporates and individuals.
Our aim is to deliver to the people of Brisbane the highest quality merchandise 7 days a week from 7.00am to 6.00pm.
Brisbane people know they can find all the finest ingredients for an impromptu dinner party at Rosalie Gourmet Market. Anything from antipasto, artisan pasta, cured meats, edible flowers and fresh herbs, as well as beautiful ideas for desserts including seasonal fruits, and a selection of international and Australian cheeses that would rival the best in Australia.
Food and Product Tastings
Our deli has an ongoing food educational program with supplier tastings conducted for our customers to enjoy for free in-store throughout the year.
We also offer regular tastings of many of our unique products, including cheeses, patisserie items, olive oils and vinegars. Being on our mailing list is the best way to keep up to date with these events.
Catering, Hampers and Gifts
Catering for corporate functions is an important part of our range of services, as well as catering for private functions. We offer a wide range of platters and canapés to suit your every desire.
Gift baskets and specialty hampers can be made to order to suit your specific requirements and budget.
